Celebrating Women in Racing
As we celebrated Women’s Month in August, we turned our spotlight to the remarkable women who form the backbone of the horseracing community. From the trainers, jockeys, breeders, and owners to the countless women working behind the scenes, their contributions to the sport are immense and deserving of recognition.
In celebration of Women’s Day, a beautiful event was held at Fairview Racecourse on Friday the 9th of August where ladies were treated to cupcakes, roses and exciting races.
Turffontein hosted racing on Saturday the 10th of August, and ladies in attendance were given the opportunity to be entered into a lucky draw to win a large goodie hamper filled with amazing gifts courtesy of the ROA. Congratulations to Jennifer Glennison who was the lucky winner on the day.
As we take a moment to acknowledge these incredible women, we also thank them for their continuous resilience and support. Their dedication not only keeps the sport alive but also inspires others to pursue their dreams within the racing industry.
