Women’s Day Celebrated in Style at Turffontein Racecourse with Avroy Shlain

For the second consecutive year, Avroy Shlain proudly sponsored the occasion, helping create a memorable raceday that celebrated the incredible women who contribute to racing, both on and off the track.

The day got off to a wonderful start as the first 200 ladies in the Elevation Room were treated to beautifully curated Avroy Shlain goodie bags valued at R1000, featuring a selection of the brand’s much-loved products. Avroy Shlain experience stations were also positioned in the Elevation Room and parade ring, giving guests the opportunity to discover and experience a selection of fragrances from the men’s and women’s ranges, while learning more about the extensive Avroy Shlain offering.

Adding an especially meaningful touch to the day, the races were dedicated to women in racing, with a number of the races honouring female trainers on the Highveld. This provided a fitting opportunity to recognize the dedication, determination and passion of the women who continue to make their mark in an industry with such a rich history and tradition.

Race 6 – ROBYN KLAASEN FM 70 DIVIDED HANDICAP (F & M) (For Fillies and Mares)

Race 7 – AVROY SHLAIN MR 95 HANDICAP (Open)

Race 8 – HEATHER ADAMSON FM 91 DIVIDED HANDICAP (F & M) (For Fillies and Mares)

Race 9 – NEXT TURFFONTEIN RACEMEETING SUNDAY 16 AUGUST MR 66 HANDICAP (Open)

The Avroy Shlain executive team were once again part of the celebrations, with members of the team experiencing the unique atmosphere of Turffontein Racecourse. For some, the occasion offered an opportunity to discover more about racing from behind the scenes, including a raceday tour and a visit to the starting stalls to watch the horses break from the start.
