Workers’ Day Workshops
Workers’ Day Workshops throughout the month of May focusing on education as well as positive and healthy masculinity.
With the 1st of May being Workers’ Day, 4Racing together with the ROA were excited to present a series of workshops aimed at grooms and stable hands throughout the month of May. The workshops, which took place on the Highveld and Eastern Cape, focused on fostering positive and healthy masculinity, educating participants about the benefits of the Silver Option Medical Plan with Momentum, and providing information on the 4Racing Broad-Based Ownership Trust in order to manage dividend expectations.
The primary objective of the workshops was to provide a platform for grooms and stable hands to explore and understand the concept of positive and healthy masculinity. Through interactive sessions, discussions, and activities, participants learnt about the importance of embracing positive behaviours and attitudes towards themselves and others. Additionally, the workshops provided the necessary education and awareness to participants on the benefits of the Silver Option Medical Plan, currently subsidised by 4 Racing, the ROA, trainers and grooms themselves. Time was also allocated to provide information on, as well as take questions and concerns about, 4Racing’s Broad-Based Ownership Trust.
These important workshops on the ground serve to promote respect, empathy, and emotional intelligence among attendees, contributing to a healthier and more supportive work environment. Key outcomes include enhanced mental health through open dialogue and boosted productivity and teamwork, also thereby reducing workplace conflict through healthy communication and conflict resolution skills.
The ROA is proud to continue this partnership with 4 Racing and contribute to these most worthy initiatives which create effective change across the value chain of racing.
