The Tommy Hotspur (Grade 3) Handicap over 1000 metres run on 12 February at Turffontein
Racecourse went the way of the hot pot favourite, Mr Flood. This was the four year old gelding’s
fifth consecutive victory and earned owner Keith Waterston the RA Owner of the Week Award. Mr
Flood is from the Lucky Houdalakis stable and was ridden by Marco van Rensburg – bred by Mr WJ
Engelbrecht – Pathford (USA) – Last Word Pam by Jallad (USA).
