Rise and Shine at The Vaal
The Racehorse Owners Association hosted a successful Rise and Shine breakfast event at the Vaal Racecourse on the 12th of December. The early start was well rewarded, as owners were given the opportunity to watch morning track work and spend time visiting their horses at the stables.
The event provided a wonderful platform for meaningful engagement with owners, while enjoying a delicious breakfast in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It was encouraging to see such positive interaction between owners and trainers, reinforcing the strong relationships that are at the heart of our industry.
We extend our sincere thanks to all the trainers who attended and encouraged their owners to come through. A special word of appreciation goes to Lucky Houdalakis who recently celebrated his 800th career winner, as well as Corrie and Emmie Lensley and their respective teams, for generously opening up their stables and contributing to the success of the morning.
Those in attendance thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we look forward to hosting more events at the Vaal in the new year.
